HAMILTON ABATTOIRS
fl BUTCHER’S COMPLAINT.
NOT RECEIVING HIS OWN CARCASES
Mr E. T. Hales wrote to last night’s meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council: —“In reference to abattoirs at Horotin, I regret to inform you that the butchers pro not getting all their own carcases back when killed and dressed; and to-day being the third time it has happened to me, I thought it time that something should be done in the matter, as we cannot go on like this." The Town Cirri; reported that he had written to Mr Hales asking for definite particulars. He said that the company undertook to assign a distinctive mark to each butcher, and this mark was to be placed on all meat, etc; In reply to this, Mr Hales forwarded definite instances. The letter was referred to the Farmers’ Freezing Company for a report.,
