THE GERMAN REPORT. IMPORTANT FORTRESSES ATTACKED. (Australian and N.Z. and Reuter.) j Received June 18, 9.55 a.m LONDON, June 'lB. A German communique referring to yesterday's raid, speaks of attacking fortresses in the South of England with good results. It admits that a British airman brought a Zeppelin down. FRENCH COMMENTS. BRITISH DEFENCES COMMENDED. INCREASED RAIDS FORECASTED. (Reuter's Telegrams.) Received June 19, 10.50 a.m. PARIS, June 18. Newspapers, commenting on the dei struction of the Zeppelin, remark that this shows Britain's remarkable aerial mastery. Germany now knows that the British coast is as well guarded as London. They point out that, with one exception, all the recent Zeppelin raids on England have resulted disastrously for the raider 9.(United Service.) LONDON, June 18. Numerous publicists forecast an invasion by fleets of scores of aeroplanes, and eagerly discuss defensive measures and reprisals. NEW GERMAN MACHINE. (United Service.) Received June 19, 10.50 a.m. PARIS, June 18. M. Marcel Hutin says the Huns are using a new three-seater aeroplane for bombing London. THE ATTACK ON GHENT. MUCH DAMAGE DONE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn., Received June 19, 10.15 a.m AMSTERDAM, June 18. lhe Telegraaf states that the recent air raid on Ghent entirely destroyed the munition factory, also the Commandant's quarters. Many civilan labourers and soldiers were killed.
