Admiral Yamaji, of the Japanese navy, outlining Japan's part in the war. -aid that in response to an appeal by the Britisli Government, Japanese warships wore operating in the Mediterranean Sea, and the Indian Ocean, end some were operating close to the Australian 6bores.
