TECHNICAL EDUCATION
MEETING OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE The Advisory Committee of Technical Education in Hamilton met last night. It was decided to open day classes in dressmaking' and economical cookery, provided sufficient students are available. Already several pupils are forthcoming. The proposed class in building construction was abandoned owing to lack of students. Notice was given by the Plumbers' Board, of Wellington, that no examination in plumbing would be held next December. The committee considered this unfair to those students who had decided to wait till December, as entrances for the September examination are now overdue. The countless needs for better facili- ' ties for technical classes in Hamilton was again in abundant evidence.
