APPRECIATION OF THE MEN. The. secretary to the Hamilton branch of the Auckland Women's Patriotic League has received the following letter from the Auckland Secretary in connection with the Dominion gift scheme:— The following letter, dated sth July, has been received from Major J. T. Watson, Officer Commanding, N.Z.E.F. Headquarters, Cairo, in connection with our first consignment of Dominion gift goods forwarded by the League to our soldiers in Egypt: "The consignment of 100 cases of gift goods, despatched from New Zealand on April Ist, duly arrived in Egypt, and the

contents have been distributed as directed by the Officer Commanding Xew Zealand Gifts Section. The action of your League in forwarding these most acceptable parcels is much appreciated." It will be remembered that our first two consignments of Dominion gift goods were forwarded to Egypt;

later consignments have all gone direc to France 1 . Kindly make this as wide It known as posible, and ask your loca papers to insert Major Watson's letter I expect to forward you shortly partial

of a Christmas gift scheme, to be worked practically on the same lines as the Dominion gift scheme.
