WEEKLY HAMILTON SALE.
The weekly stock sale, he'd in the Hamilton salcyards yesterday, was well attended by buyers, and the weather conditons were more congenial than has been the experience of several past sales. The yardings of either cattle or sheep were not big ones, but there was plenty of quality in them. Beef were, if anything, easier than for the previous sale, ranging round about 40s per 1(1(1 lb. In the sheep section store 2-tooths were in demand, fetching from 31s to 345, while fats made from 36s to 38s Gd. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report: Fat steers, £l2 16s; fat cows.'£lo 15s to £l2 12s 6d: fresh conditioned 3-yr old steers, £ll to £l2 15s; 2£-yr steers, £lO 15s; store cows, £7 9s to £8; 18-months to 2-vr heifers, £5 2s fid to £5 15s;-18-months steers, £5 3s; mixed sex yearlings, £4 Is 6d; bull (purebred) IGgns: springing heifers, £9 15s; calves, 3s to 8s; fat wethers, 36s to 38s 6d; lighter sorts. 31s Gd to 345: fat ewes. 22s to 255; ewes in lamb, 25s to 30s; porkers, £3 19s to £4 15s: slips, 29s to 30s; wcaners, 8s 6d to 15s. Messrs Dalgety and Co. quote: Yearling store cattle un to £4 7s Gd; 3-yr. old bullocks. £8 7s 6d to £ll Is; fat cows, £8 5s to £lO 14s; store cows, £6 I 17s 6d to £7 17s 6d.
