Sir,—Life is too short for me to reply to such idioric, brainless letters as those signed by " Ratepayer " and " Prospective Ratepayer," and advise those nonsensical individuals to join the Empire and National Service League, then they might become imbued with that spirit which always prompts a man (when making suggestions or insinuations), to plant his name at the end of his letter, when writing to the papers.—l am, etc., J.
