(b* telegraph.—own correspondent.) Paeroa, Last Night. Mr MoCoßSircK is the successful tenderer for the Grown Company'* water race, etc., at £1.720. Mr Vickerman, Resident Engineer, arrived here to-day, and was besieged by applications from men dnsirous of obtaining work on tiie railway There are 50 or 60 men here, 100 in Te Aniha. and 90 from the Thames who are wpresentod by head men. The local men are tu get the first chance. The circus show is here to-night.
