(BY TELEGRAPH—rKESS ASSOCIATION.) DuNEDiN, Sunday. The discovery of a skeleton in a channel close to the Waikouaiti railway station, points to either suicide or murder. The drain has always had about, three feet of water in it, but during the recent drought it became dry. Two pieces'of iron rail, about Gtb each were with the skeleton, and appeared to have been round the neck of the victim. No. one in this district is missing so far as can be ascertained. DuNRDiN, Last Night. Prom later investigalion it appears that the body was contained in a sack, the two pieces of iron wore placed in the sack to keep it at the botton of the ditch. The police theory is that deceased was put into the sack after death, and then thrown into ditch. The medical examination show, that the bones belonged to a man of about 5 feet 9 inches high and an aged person. There is no clue to his identity.
