CRUISER SHAH OFFERED TO NEW SOUTH WALES.

(BY ELECTItir TELEGRAPH.— COPYRIGHT.) , London, March 23. Great surprise has been expressed in official naval circles at the action of the Admiralty in offering to hand over the cruiser Shah to the Now South VVales Government to replace the Vernon training ship at Sydney. The Shah is looked upon as a better vessel for active warfare than the Inconstant. The cost of fitting out the Shah, which will have to be. born by New South Wales, will be about £10,000.
