OTOROHANGA
Oub race meeting on the 29th insfc. is expected ti) be a great success, the committee intend that as far as they are concerned at least it shall be so. As we expect the vice regal party to visit the district on that date there will be additional inducement for visitors, especially if the Governor and suite honour our meeting with their presence. We can promise them straight running for the stakes, among the native competitors at any rate, whicii is more than can be said of the racing for bigger stakes among the crack clubs. Every preparation will be made for the comfort and convenience of visitors. Mrs Tanner having been the successful tenderer for the refreshment booth, is a guarantee that the public will be well served in that respect. She is making extensive preparations for the day.
