In twenty days no less than IS persons have been treated at the hospital, This number is said to bo below the average. Tho increase amounts almost to a small epidemic. . : The Kaikoura arrived In the harbour at 735 a.m., she left Plymouth on February 7th : TenentFe 13t,h ;'Capetown, March Ist. and HobartatG 30 a.m., ou tho 20th. A good deal of heavy weather was met with during the voyage. Her steaming time was 41 days 11 hours 9 minutes : stoppages 1 day 17 hours 50 minutes. The Kaikoura brings 2000 tons of general cargo, 520 tons of which is for Wellington,'the rest is for othor ports.
