Christchurch, Yesterday.

Ninty one applications for space have been received tor tho Chmtchurcli Industrial Exhibition, to open on July 15. One hundred and eighty-five coursing licenses have been issued here this season, as against ninety last year. Licenses have also been issued for three packs of beagles — one at (-tevaldine, and one at Timavu. Eighty -ninelicenses for shooting pheasants have been taken out, as against thirty-six last year. The Acclimatisation Society have resolved to present the Auckland Society with 5000 trout ova. Mr. Farr, secretary to the Acclimatisation Society, proceeds to Wellington on Monday relative to tne amendments desired in the new Fisheries Bill, and will probably represent the Otago Society. A splendid female seal, eight feet in length, was captured yesterday at New Brighton.
