FOUND GUILTY.

<g> CASE AGAINST MBS WYLIE. (Press Association.) '■ WELLINGTON, Thursday. Elizabeth Ann Wylie ,alias Ncvill, who had previously been tried on a charge of using an instrument, or other means, on a married woman, with intent to procure a miscarriage, but on which the jury disagreed, appeared before Mr Justice Ostler in the Supreme Court, Wellington on Wednesday, to face three other charges of a similar nature. One of these referred to an operation alleged to have been performed on Norah Cochram on or about July 12, .1926 ,another one alleged to have been performed on Murial Herlihy on or about November 4, 1924, while the third charge referred to an illegal operation on Ella Sylvia Rush on or about June 21, 1926. His Honour summed up, and the jury' returned at 8.55 p.m. with a verdict[ of gu-ilty on the charge of using an instrument on Norah Cochram, and not guilty on the the other two charges. The jury very strongly recommended the accused to mercy, and suggested that a lenient penalty 'would meet the case.
