SERIOUS DISASTER
IN UNITED STATES. ' ESTIMATED TWENTY DEAD. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received this day, 9.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec 9. An explosion occurred in a coal mine in East Princetown (Indiana) this morning. Rescuers predict the possibility of fatalities exceeding twenty dead, who are being disregarded until the wounded arc removed. Only half of the seventy men in the shaft at the time of the explosion had been brought to the surface by noon. Seven are known to have been killed.
