TE AUTE PURCHASE. Te Ante College farm have recently added to their Friesian herd a fine young bull from the Bloomfield Farm Company, Upper Hutt. This bull, which, was purchased through the agency of Messrs 'Williams and Kettle, Ltd., Hastings. is known as Bloomfield Ormsby Comer, sired by Ormsby Elgin, -while his dam is the famous Bloomfield Galatea Countess, who has a semi-official test of 18,965.21 b milk and 709.451 b butter-fat. The dam of Bloomfield Galatea Countess is a Royal Champion cow, Willowvale Galatea Segis, who has a record of 18.526.1 b milk and 653.271 b of butter-fat, so that the three nearest dams of this bull have records of an V average of 655,881 b butter-fat. Te Ante College farm and Hawke’s Bay district generally are fortunate in having such a promising bull to lay rhe right foundation.
