Oive the bovses that are working hard an occasional pail of weter m which a large handful of oatmeal has been stined. Do not leave any unoccupied land to grow a crop ot weeds. When an car ly crop is removed sow at once any crop that will keep them down. .Buckwheat or peas ate good and may be tu.ned id before f-ost. Cows do not like cold water fresh from a well, and it is not good for (hem. C'esei of garget have caused by the chill to the*syst©m th is \ reduced. It is bess to pump the water imo a tiengh and leave it to be warmed by the air. Cows should nrt be allowed to dtink ail they will in hot weather, like pet sons they will take more water than is good for the m . Ten gallons a day is enough.
