Terrible Suicide.

Among the cabin passengers from Glasgow w.>s the Rev Mr Hwcet, a Ficsbjterian cl man, iwhose most remarkable conduct can only be accounted for cn t>e heory of temporary ihsanity, When ihe vessel was passing through the Strain of Belle Isle, the unfortunate man was observed to rush on cjeck with bis throat cut and, belore anything could be done to prevent him, be had thrown himself ovei board. The alarm was at once given, and the ship was put about with all possible despatch. The Manitoban was railing, however, at the lime at a rate of 14 knots an hour, ard it was therelo.e nearly half an hour before the holy of Mr fSwect could be lecovered.
