Adelaide. — The iollowing telegrams are from the "Argus": — November 12 — The wheat market is very quiet. Very conflicting accounts have been received of the prospectß of the crops. November 13 — The cargo of Chiua sugar, ex China, was offered this morning without reserve. Light soft yellows realised £32 to £33 5s j finest brown to yellow, £24 to £28 ss ; Biiowdrop, £36 15s to £36 178 6d. The tea ex AdeJphia sold at lower rates. There is nothing doing in wheat and ilour. It has rained steadily all day. Nov. 14 — Tho rainfall yesterday was very heavy, especially in the far north. This is favorable news for the district. To-day it is cloudy and cool. Nov. 15 — The weather is very stormy, cool, and wet. Sales of wheat are reported at 4s 6|-d. The market is quiet, great difficulty being experienced in obtaining shipping. Nov. 19 — Advices respecting the crops are more favorable. The late rains are likely to considerably increase tho average yield. Tho weather is cool, but fine. Wheat is firm at 4s 6sd. Shipping very Bcarce. November 17 — The weather is cloudy and cool, but very suitable for the crops. Wheat is quiet at 4s 6d to 4a 6id. Our own correspondent, writing on November 7, reports : — The market during the past week has been quiet but firm at 4s 7d, but at I his prico there has only ifeen one purchaser, a largo mercantile firm, t?ho received by last mail orders for two cargoes .for Havre. Ho whrat is b ing bought for the colonial market at thie figure. We have recently had some splendid rains, and reports from the various agricultural districts aro still decidedly in favor of good average crops, although complaints of red rust and takeall are made in several quarters. Country flour is selling at £10 10s, and town brands at £11 ss. On November 14 the same correspondent again reports : — Nothing special to report about the groin market thia week. Prices kept up to 4s 7d till Saturday, the brokers having orders to buy at that, figure fur shipment to Erance. Ono firm bought 50,000 bushels at this figure. To-day, however, this order being executed, pricea have fallen, and
4s 6d only is offering. Wo have had some splendid raius lately, ana there is every pro> bability of a good harvest. It will begin about the second weok in December.
