Messrs Devitt aud Hetl's report as follows on September 21st:— Since bst report there has been a demand for fine and low qualities, which are scarce, but medium kinds are dull of sale. Out of 1300 bales offered at auction lust week, 1000 found buyers at steady pricos. We regret to notice a decided fulling off iv the quality of the Auckland shipments, and would once more seek to impress on our friends the necessity of sending over only the welldressed kinds, and keeping the quality of the known markß as regular and uniform as possible. Tow continues in good demand at full prices. We sold some fine Hokianga mark at £16 per ton. The following list comprises the principal marks sold .—per Agnes Muir, from I Dnnedin, MG, £28 ; P & W, £32 5a j S, £25 10s ; FK, £24 5s ; ASH, £26. Per Cuduceus, from Auckland, E. Constable, £25 10s ; DM. £29 ; 0 & a A Wallis R»glan, £33 10s; O&G A. McDonald Raglan, £33. Per Malay, from Nelson, J & R JR, £32 to £32 10s ; Lsgan Sinclair, £32; MS, £27 ss. Arrivals. — Celoeno, from Canterbury, and Jessie Readman, from Dunedin, with 2120 baleß in all. Stock on 2nd instant, 801 tons ; imports since Ist January 1822 tons ; and deliveries 1935 tons.
