BOWLERS ON TOUR
SOUTH AUCKLAND TEAMS PLAY WAIHI WIN FOR HOME MEN The South Auckland bowlers, drawn from various Waikato Clubs belonging to the parent association, arrived in Waihi on Saturday last in : the course of a tour of the affiliated ! Bay of Plenty and goldfields centres, during which several very enjoyable games have been played, the object being to get into closer touch with fellow bowlers in the districts visited. After being warmly welcomed by the president of the Waihi club, Mr H. Moralee, the visiting players engaged six local teams in a friendly match, the home on the aggregate by 24 points—l 23 to 99. Play over, Mr J. A. North, secretary of the South Auckland Bowling Association, thanked the members of the Waihi club for a very pleasant afternoon and the ladies for providing afternoon tea, adding that the chief aim of the tour, that of improving the already friendly relations between bowlers throughout the area governed by the parent association, had been fully achieved.
