BRITAIN'S WAR DEBTS
PAYMENTS TO AMERICA OVER £355,000,000 LITTLE RECEIVED IN RETURN Australian and N.Z. Cable. LONDON, April 4.
In the House of Commons in reply to a question regarding Britain’s war debt payments to the United States and receipts from other countries, Mr Neville Chamberlain, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, said including the payment of £29,000,000 on December 15th, Britain’s payments to the United States amount altogether to £355.200,000 and Britain’s receipts from foreign war debts £71,100,000, and reparations £121,300,000, making a total of £192,400,000. These figures include moth principal repayments and interest.
