GOLF NOTES

MIXED FOURSOME ON WAIHI LINKS AN ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON A very enjoyable and interesting mixed foursome flag match was played on Saturday on the Waihi Golf Club’s links for trophies presented by Mr M. F. Haszard. Mr and Mrs Cullen started first and carried the flag to the 17th green. Mr and Mrs M. F. Haszard carried it to the 17th hole and it was then carried by Mrs Bell and Mr W. Hollis to the IStli green.

The match was eventually won by Mrs A. H. V. Morgan and Mr Reg. Haszard, who carried the flag to within 100 yards of the 19th hole.
