RIGHTS OF CHAPLAINS. / r (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. - At the Presbyterian General Assembly to-day, the Chaplain Committee reported that it had adopted the following resolution; “That while sympathising with the desire to abolish titles in the case of chaplains, the committee is strongly of opinion that the status of chaplains as officers should’ he maintained : with all’ privileges now enjoyed. The committee fully recognises the great changes which have taken place in .connection with na- 1 tional defence, and the still greater changes which may be expected, but hopes that by prudent action the rights of chaplains will be maintained, and opportunities for service preserved and increased. ; The report was adopted.
