Sir Edward Grey, in the House of Commons, announced the resignation of Sir Eldon Gorst from the position of British Agent in Egypt. Sir Edward Grey stated that he was unable to announce his successor.

It was cabled the other day that Lord Kitchener was considered likely to fill the position with added powers.
