The steel conference, representing many manufacturers in Europe and America, has initiated the organisation of an In tcrnational Steel Institute, and has appointed a committee to ascertain to what exent an agreement is possible among the manufacturers of the different countries on wages and transport. The committee will not touch the fixing of prices or markets.
