(Per United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, April 3. In the Appeal Court, before the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, and Justices Williams, Benniston, Edwards, Cooper, and Chapman, opened its first sitting of the year this morning. There was a largo attendance of the bar. A fairly long list of cases is set down for, the Court’s consideration. Leave was given to set down the cas? of McDonald v.' Rose, which has gained notoriety as the • “secret case,” and up to the present has been heard in cannra. The Court fixed the hearing for to-mor-row. Leave was also given to set down the case Devonport Borough Council v. Auckland Gas Company, Ltd.
