WANGANUI GUN CLUB.

Tire concluding portion of the report of the proceedings on “Ladies’ Day” at the Wanganui Gun Club’s grounds was inadvertently left out of last night's issue, but is appended. At the conclusion of the shooting, Mr T. Dumber, vice-President of the N.Z. Gun Club Association, and a vice- ■ President of the' Wanganui Club, present ed to the President, Mr W. Duncan, the first prize/‘a beautiful gold pendant set with olavincLs and pearls, 'with necklet attached, which was handed to his mother, Mrs John,Duncan, Mr Duncan then presented the ’other trophies. The second prize—a bciljitiful gold bracelet, set with tourmaKne&and pearls—was handed to Mrs H. Duigan, while a gold curb bracelet with padlock, was wozi by Mr N. Ashton. Mrs Casey received the dainty silver j vase, won by her husband, and the ladies’ silver sewing tidy and gold jewelled gold brooches, were -won by Messrs Neilsoa,: Coe, and Jones. The President also presented Mr N. Ashton with a very handsome rose howl won; by him some two months ago. Cheers for the referee and for the ladies brought a very pleasant afternoon’s gathering to a close. The unqualified success of this—the first ladies’ day—will no doubt lead to the club holding other such meetings. ■
