At Trinity Wesleyan Church'to-morrow' morning, Dr. Deck, of the South Sea .Islands Evangelical Mission, will conductthe service. The Eev. J. A. Luxford’s subject in the evening will be “Filling up the Censits : Papers.” Mr W. James will sing the solo, “The Soul’s Awakening.” The School Anniversary will .be celebrated on Sunday next at Westmere Prim-, itive Methodist Church, followed by the scholars’ and tea and public meeting on Tuesday, '4th of April. Dr. Northcote Deck, of the Solomon Islands, is to address a special gathering at the Baptist Church to-morrow afternoon at 3.15, and. the meeting is open to men*; women, and children. Special missionary;' hymns will be snng and the gathering is expected to be of a bright arid interesting! nature. “Carnegie’s Peace Proposals. Are they compatible with tire Spirit of the Times? What effect will it have towards the desired motive, the disarmament of the? nations? At 3.15 p.m. a special service will be held, when an address' will be delivered by Dr. Deck. The address to be delivered ah s the. Druids' Hall on Sunday evening is entitled “Tho Estrangement Between God and’Man: Its Cause rind Eeraoval. ; “Doubting' Thomas, .or the Mission-foot Theosophy,” is the title of the lecture to be read at the meeting of the Thcosophical Society on Sunday evening. In a materialiistic ; age, when men ■will only-'be-lieve in that of which they can find the specific gravity, a fresh presentment of such a subject is expected to prove ficialDr. Northcote Deck, of the Solomon Islands, contrary to expectations, caught tho train at Wellington this morning,’and arrives by the express this afternoon. Ho, will therefore be enabled to speak at the -Girls’ College to-night. Unfortunately, many of the day girls, unless they see this notice, will he unaware of the gathering which this morning was arranged with Miss Cruicksharik' to take place after all. Besides preaching at Trinity and St. Paul’s to-morrow, he is to address a general .meeting at 3.15 in the Baptist Church. Th Eev. E. D.
