BURGLARY AT AUCKLAND.

£IOOO WORTH OF JEWELLERY STOLEN. (Per United Press Association.) 'AUCKLAND, March 20. The premises of Adolph Kohn, jeweller, of Queen Street, were burglariously entered between 9.30 on Sunday night and this morning, and robbed of jewellery valued at JIOOO. The entrance was effected through an unprotected window on tho side of the shop, above the roof of the adjoining premises. The shop bud front window were lighted as usual, the window being completely exposed to the view of anyone passing, yet the contents of the window were completely cleared, and the show case on the counter emptied, the floor being strewn with ink, empty jewellery, cases, and trays. A very careful selection had been made, nothing of a bulky nature being taken.
