A ROWDY MEETING., Motion in Favour of Restoration. (Per United Press Association.) MASTERTON, March 20. Mr D. Bedford commenced an open-air address on Prohibition on Saturday night ill the presence of over a thousand people. He -had a trying time, being subjected almost continually to loud hooting and yelling. Cheers were given for both sides of the" question. Then.Mr E. G. Eton, chairman of the local Hospital Board, and a member of other public bodies, got up bn the platform, and denounced prohibition as a failure from a business point of view. Mr Jabez Bridges, a no-lieense organiser, was then refused a hearing. Then Mr Cameron, another well-known resident, put a motion in favour of restoration, and this was declared carried by an overwhelming majority. It was the rowdiest gathering held here for 20 years.
