Messrs Johnston and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from thoir London agents: — Sales have opened with animation. Attendance of buyers is large and competition brisk. Greasy merino advanced 5 to 10 per cent; the "greatest advance is in good combing. Scoured faulty and inferior merino advanced 5 per cent. The American buyers are operating freely. Crossbred b have advanced 5 per cent, a poor selection of these being offered. "Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. hnve received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated 27th November.
