FOOTBALL.
KAIERAU VETERANS v. SENIORS.
The following team will represent the Kaierau veterans in their match against the club's senior team to-morrow at 3 o'clock: —
Full-back, T. A. Blythe. Three-quarters— W. Gordon, W. H. McLean, and E. Tregear. Five-eighth — C. J. McLean. Half — A. E. Bullock.
Wing forwards — R. G. McLean and D. Dixon. Forwards-J. A. Blair, J. Price, T. T.
Bell, J. G. McLean, M. Ryan, J. Mur-
ray, and H. Campbell. The following are also asked to attend : — J. J. O'Shea, J. O'Reilly, J. Alderton, F. Hill, and Murray (2). The , above team includes a number of the finest players Wanganui has yet produced, and though some of them have not donned a jersey for several years it is safe to say that their opponents will have their work cut out to win. The game should be a very interesting one, and no doubt there will be a large attendance to witness the contest between the "Old Timers" and the present champion club team. The proceeds are to go to the Hospital fund, which it is hoped will benefit considerably as a result.
A meeting of th© Pirate Football Club Dance Committee is called for this (Friday) evening at 7.30 o'clock sharp at the ÜBual place. The following members of the Wanganui Rifles have been chosen to play in their annual football match against the Guards on Saturday, on tho Recreation Ground, at 1.30 sharp: — Callaghan, Mailman (2), McCarthy, Aitken, Prideaux, Tremewan, Beatham, Binley, Brown, Harrison (2), Redmond, Twogood, Drummond, Davy, Williams, Davis, Bunting. The above will play in black jerseys.
