WANGANUI HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Entries C!o*a To-morrow.
"I hay« bettter than those in my garden !" The foregoing is a l'emark very often heard at Horticultural Shows alter the exhibits have been judged and are under public inspection. Tliere is "altogether too much diffidence with many gardeners as to entering for competition, the •esult beiflg that they lose the honors to which they are often entitled, and the Soaiety lose an exhibit that would add attractiveness to the Show. It is to be hoped that all members of the Society and fruit, flower, and vegetable growers gene--ally will do their best to swell the entry 'ist. Members will note that they receive five entries free — a generous conces-ion considering the fact that the annual subscription is only ss, and that ";here are two Shows in the year. Entries to-morrow evening at Mersrs Jas. Laird and Sons' Avenue shop, or they may be left with the secretary (Mr Hollo way V >r assistant secretary (Mr Roy Walker), ir at Messrs J. T. Sinclair's or W. T. Benofield and Son's any time to-morrow.
