Accident to a Political Candidate

AUCKLAND, November 27,

Mr T. T. Masafield, the Independent candidate for the City West seat, was thrown from a buggy on Saturday, and had two ribs broken and his face cut.

BLENHEJM, November 23.

John Herbert Skorrett, aged 33 years, died suddenly last night, his wife Avaking up to find that he had expired alongside her. Deceased had been in the hospital recently with some internal complaint, but was supposed to have recovered, and was one of tho riding competitors at the A. and P. Show on Wednesday last.
