DUNEDIN.

December 6.

Further particulars of the Renthorn tatal affray seem to Bhow that the quarrel arose in a banty over a dog fight* The affray lasted some hours. Meld run was found lying beside the creek in an insensible condition. The principal wounds appear to be a stroke on the head from the butt end of a gun, eaid to have been given him by Fitzgerald, who is still at large. Meldrun was also stabbed in several places with a shoemaker's knife. An inquest will be held to-day.
