MORE OMINOUS TURN
ANTI-BOLSHEVIK CAMPAIGN ' MARTIAL SPIRIT IN GERMANY, Press As&mliuljj Electric Telegraph—Copyright! LONDON, Monday. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Nmemberg correspondent says that the anti-Bolshe-vik campaign has taken a more ominous, turn. A martial spirit is frankly predominant. The correspondent draws attention to a passage in Herr Hitler’s speech: “When I call for a German demonstra* tion it will not be an undisciplined' mob of 10,000 or 20,000, but millions and millions of men who will march in unbroken ranks.”
The Storm Troop chief, Herr Lutz, responded: “We are united in hatred of a common enemy. W© are not afraid and have prepared everything. Only give us the command,, Fuhrer, and we will obey.” • Addressing 150,000 Storm Troopers and 50,000 spectators', Herr Hitler said: “We have only one wish, to keep the peace, but we will never allow. Germany to become Bolshevik.” Giving an audience to international journalists, Herr Hitler answered the world-wide wonderment of the Nazis’ fanaticism against Bolshevism.
“It is our fear that countries around us, may succumb to the circulation of Bolshevik poison,” he said. “We cannot be indifferent to it. After all, w© are a European nation and do not live on the moon. What happens in Europe concerns us. That Russia of all countries should seek to dominate Europe is something we Germans will never accept. Europe dominated by Bolshevik bureaucracy would go under. ” FRENCH UNEASINESS. . PARIS, Monday. The French Press continues to display uneasiness about the Nuremberg speeches. The “Echo de Paris” declares: — “None must be deceived in regard to the reasons of Herr Hitler’s anti-Bol-shevik crusade. Bolshevism does not threaten the internal regime of Germany. Russia does not want war, and has no common frontiers with Germany. Hitler seeks to use international Fascism in the interests of German Imperialism. France will not tolerate his pretensions to dictate her foreign policy, and fears disciplined Pfussianism more than Russia.”
