MANUKAU BY-ELECTION
NATIONAL PARTY.
CANDIDATE TO STAND.
AUCKLAND, Friday.
The National Party will definitely be putting a candidate in the field for the Manukau seat, said Mr Lisle Aide r ton,' chairman of the executive of the Auckland Branch. "We expect to be in a position to announce him within a few days,” he said. "He will be a good and strong man.” Mr Alderton gave the information that members of Parliament who would assist the campaign in Manukau on behalf of the party will be Messrs S. G. Holland (Christchurch North), J. Hargest (Awarua), and K. J. Holyoake (Motueka). —(YA.)
