MASTERTON CLUB. Keen and interesting contests were witnessed at the Dixon Street Baths last night, when the Masterton Amateur Swimming and Life Saving Club’s championship events were decided. The results were as follow: — 75 yards intermediate championship: <C. Reid 1, W. Swain, 2, F. Lee 3. Time, 35 2-ssee. ' * Ladies’ 25 yards championship: Miss E. Madsen 1, Miss P. Andrews 2, Miss B. Welch 3. Time, 16 2-ssec. Ladies’ 50 yards championship: Miss E. Madsen 1, Miss P. Andrews 2, Miss B. Welch 3. Time, 37 4-ssec. 100 yards breaststroke championship: F. Milne 1, F. Lee 2, J. Hewitt 3. Time,. 96 : l-ssec. 100 yards men’s championship: J. Barnes .1, W. Smith 2, W. Munro 3. Time, 72 l-ssec. Men’s dive: H. Dixon 1, W. Swam 2, W. Smith 3. (if Ladies’ dive: Miss J. James 1, Miss R. Stains 2, Miss D. Williams 3. 25 yards dash: L. Maguire 1, Jv Barnes 2, W. Smith 3. Time, 14 4-ssec. Ijunior events were qiostponed next Sunday afternoon, weather permitting, owing to lack of competitors.
