There was ;a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Old Boys Football Club, held in the Wairarapa High School last night.' The club’s president, Mr L. T. Dariiell, was in the ehair. The following officers, were elected for the. 1936 season:—President, .Mr N. G. Rayner; vice-presidents, Messrs. jj" T. Daniell,' G. D. • Wilson, J. C. D. * Mackley, H. M. Morton, N. H. James, W. B. Yates, W. G. Laing, J. W. Bird, Stt. T. H. Dyer, and Dr. C. Forsyth j club captain, Mr G. F. Nyhan; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. Morton; delegates to Wairarapa Rugby Union, Messrs. J. C. D. Mackley, G. F. Nyhan, G. I) Wilson; management ( committee, - Messrs.. G. T. Wilson, A. Lang, N. McLeod. K. D. McC'almont, H. L. Martelli, W M. Sellar, W. Rayner; lion, auditor, Mr N. H. James; selection committee, club captain, team captain and team coach; senior coach, Mr L. Roach; junior coach, Mr J. C. D. Mackley; third grade coach, Mr Empson. It was decided to enter senior, junior, . and third grade teams in the Rugby Union’s competitions. Six- new members'were elected. Subscriptions were fixed at 7/6 senior. 5 1 /- junior, 2/6 third grade. - The question of the two-three-two scrum formation and the kick-into-touch "vrule were left to the discretion of the delegates to the Rugby Union. It was decided to hold the first practice on Saturday, 21st March, at the High School at 2.30 p.m. It was left to the committee to arrange a .meeting with delegates from the Masterton and Red Star clubs, to discuss the possibility of obtaining lights at Memorial Park for night training. RED STAR CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting.of the Red Star Football Club Jast night, the president, Mr A. G. Corskie being an the chair. . . . It was decid’ed to enter senior, junior , and third grade teams and if possible a fourth grade team. The appointment coaches tor the . senior, junior and third grade teams I was left to the. respective teams. •Eight new members avere elected. The subscriptions Avere left as at present: Seniors, 6s; juniors, 4s 6d; third, 3s; fourth, Is, and honorary members subscriptions were fixed at 2s 6d. It was decided to forward a remit to the annual meeting of the Wairarapa Rugby Union asking that the tAVO-throe-two scrum and the kick-into-toucli rule, be adopted this year. It Avas agreed to hold- the opening practice to-morroAV. An announcement aa t ps made. that Mr J. Bradbury had donated a cup for competition, Mr F. Slattery had donated a medal for the most improved junior three-quarter and that Mrs W. Percy had also donated a medal to the club. The sole selector of the Wanganui Rugby Union last year, Mr G. 11. Pownall, has decided not"to accept nomfor that position for the comseason.
