WAGE-CUT
CANADIAN RAILWAYS DISPUTE., MONTREAL, Thursday. Following the calling of a strike ballot, returnable on Ist September,, the representatives of .200.('>00 railwayman stated to-day that a suit was to be entered for the recovery of all wages kept by the companies under the 10 per cent cut instituted on Ist February last. The claim is that the wage agreement has been violated. The strike ballot is an answer to the railway companies’ announcement of a second 10 per cent, reduction.
