Loew’s monoplane, “Spirit off Fun,” which is dying from Australia to England, arrived at Bali, Java, yesterday, and left- to-day en route to Singapore. COMMERCIAL FLIGHT. LONDON, Weduesdav. The “Daily Hoi a Id” says that three cx-Royal Air Force officers are planning a commercial diglit from -London to Pont Darwin in live days, arriving on Christmas Day. They will tour Australia and New Zealand, and then cross to the United States. They intend to carry fitly samples of British goods, which they will exhibit at- every stopping-place. ANTARCTICA FLIGHT. LOS ANGELES, Wednesday. After inspecting the new monoplane for tiieir Antarctic exploration, Mr Lincoln Ellsworth and Air Brent Bale hen. outlined their plans for a 2900-mile nonstop flight from the Ross 'Sea to the Weddell Sea and return, probably in mid-December next year. They plan to sail to Dunedin in August next year, and then will travel by a Norwegian motor ship to the Ross Sea, where they will establish a base from which they will start the flight. Because of the impossibility of making a base at the Weddell Sea it is necessary to make a non-stop return flight. They said that Sir Hubert Wilkins might accompany them to the Ross Sea base in the hope of being able to solve the geographic problem: What is Antarctica ?
