KNOX CHURCH
LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD. At the monthly meeting of Knox Ladies’ Social Guild, which was held at the residence of Mrs W. A. Burling, Roberts’ Bond, Lansdowne, Miss J. M. McLaren presided. Afternoon tea was dispensed on the verandah by the hostesses, Mesdamcs Burling and Bigg. The guests availed themselves of the opportunity of viwing the lovely garden, which was ablaze with autumn flowers. A musical programme was contributed by Mesdamcs S. J. Smith (monologues) and McClymont (pianoforte solos), and Miss Inglev, whom Mrs Morton accompanied at the piano. Original competitions were won by Mrs A. Dixon, and the Misses Maxwell and Pettit. At the close of the afternoon a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the hostesses and all the ladies who had given musical items, for the very pleasant time spent by all present.
