A blizzard is raging in the Gulf of Finland, and interrupted the air search for 700 fishermen and 100 horses marooned on an ice-field, and believed to be drifting towards the Estonian coast. The ice-breaker Tarno lias been sent to search, but the blizzard will greatly reduce the prospect of rescue. The storm is so severe that steamers are unable to attempt the passage of the Gulf, consequently Finland is practically isolated from the south.
