BLOWN TO PIECES
DETERMINED SUICIDE. TAUMARUNUI, Thursday. A single man, Sampel Joseph Bond, aged 24, employed as a mill-hand, committed suicide at To Koura on Tuesday by placing plugs of gelignite on the ground and lying over them. The explosion blew Bond’s body to fragments.
At the inquest a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned. -(P.A.)
