BEATEN TO DEATH
TWO WOMEN VICTIMS. NEW YARIK, Wednesday. A murder which has aroused attention throughout the nation occurred at Middleburg, Virginia, one of America’s most fashionable hunting centres, yesterday. Mrs. Agnes Ilsley, the socially prominent young widow of a well-known banker and Mrs. Mina Buckner, her elderly maid, were found beaten to death in their beds, presumably with an iron bootjack.
The police are searching for a former negro servant whom Mrs. Ilsley dis charged a year ago.
