MAN DROWNED.
BOAT CAPSIZED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WESTPORT, Tuesday. Charles Salter, a married man with a large family, was drowned in the Buller river this morning.
With others, he was crossing the river at the Tiroroa railway construction camp when the boat capsized. lie endeavoured to swim the river, but sank before reaching the shore. The police are engaged in dragging the river.
