TASMANIAN HOPS.
INDUSTRY TO BE HELPED. BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. (Received Tuesday, 5.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. As the result of the enquiry into the Tasmanian hop industry, the Federal Government is making £24,576 available to assist growers. It is also taking steps to induce brewers to reduce imports in favour of loc-ally-grown hops.—P.A.
