THE WOOL MARKET.
WELLINGTON SALE. A HOPEFUL OUTLOOK. A well-known Wellington woolbroker, interviewed by a Wellington reporter yesterday, said that it is anticipated that there will be a good attendance of buyers at the Wellington wool sale, to be held on Friday next, and that the competition, even if not quite so keen as in some of our recent sales-, will still be good; and it is hoped that the sale will result in a good clearance. The combined catalogues will total 20,000 bales, and will, of course, include some of last season’s clip. However, so far as can be gathered, the offering will be fairly representative of North Island wools. This will be the last big catalogue offered this season. The concluding sale, which will be held somewhere towards the middle of April, will not, it is considered, consist of more than about 15,000 bales. If good results attend the March and A pril sales, there should not he very much in the way of a carry-over.
