SALE OF JERSEYS.
RECORD TARANAKI PRICES
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday.
There was a large attendance from all parts of the North Island at the sale of pedigree Jerseys, liekPHiy Mr Newton King on account of Mr F. W. Cornwall, of Bell Block, this afternoon. Some record prices were realised. The aggregate for thirty-three cows totalled 3401 guineas. The best prices were: —Rosalind’s Girl, Murray Bros., Opotiki, 367gns; Belle Malone, Bert Luxton, Omata, 275gns; Kotiro, Murrav Bros., 201 gns; Illusion, D. Malone, Riverlca, 175gns; bull, Holly Bank Squire, Murray Bros., 220gns. At the clearing sale of C. W. Reube, at Westown, on Wednesday, good prices were also obtained for cows. Waiwetu Trump Lily was sold to A. Sharpe, Matapn, for 200gus; Avoca’s Lady to ,). Pulton, Whangarata, Auckland, at 200gns; and Omato Queen to W. Qxenlmm, ITruti, for IGlgns.
